SUNDAY RUMMAGE

Despite being knackered the Missus and me enjoyed the Spring sunshine early this morning at a large car boot sale in Doncaster. The Missus got lots of Polly Pocket for the Granddaughter and I picked up a few bits too.

Some Tamiya Japan plastic parts for an unknown sports car 1970

An unknown plastic bit of curved landscape.

Corgi Toys plastic garage or barn? 

Bayko roof. I have a smaller one too.

All of the above was 20p the lot!

Disney Space Mountain ride die-cast. I have three more.

Unknown wrestler or fantasy figure. Unbranded.

Large space ranger Buzz Lightyear vehicle for Moonbase Junior.

Mr. Miyagi by Remco and a one-armed Lanard CORPS! figure. A couple of die=casts and a TB5 for Junior.

Probably my best buy, for the princely sum of £4, these lovely miniature plastic cars, which i think maybe Blue Box.

MYSTERIES IN THE BLISTER: UFO RACK TOY SETS

 I've blogged these before.

I've still only ever seen them online,

UFO, Mysteries of the Universe and Visitors from Outer Space.

Like a Sci-Fi Polly Pocket, these plastic flying saucers come with a gaggle of aliens and a gadget or two.

A classic rack toy, these sets were made with love.

As a kid I would have adored them.

Just look at the maggoty alien babies inside the one below! How great!

The use of NAZCA symbols and ancient wonders on the card back just make them even more interesting for budding Ufologists. I mean how many toys have a NAZCA spider on them?

If it was the Sixties LP would snapped them up but these are from the 80's or 90's and appear to be unbranded.

Anyone know the maker and the date?

The saucers open up like flowers on Mars and away you go.

Closed up they're a neat domed UFO that probably fits in the pocket.

There were three different saucer sets and all made in China. I cannot see a brand name.

Anyone remember these?

I do like this friction airport fire ATV by RICO of Spain. 

From the box it looks like there were also Medic and armoured car versions of this too.

Looks like there's a flap on top to gain access to the cab - for figures?

Did you have anything like this as a kid?

It wouldn't look out of place in Thunderbirds or Joe 90!

BATTLE IN OUTER SPACE ACTION TRANSFERS

These Battle in Outer Space Action Transfers are just crazy. I mean look at those aliens! One of them looks like a SpaceX LAMA toy!

CARRERA JET SETS: I WANT ONE!

 Wholly new to me, here's the Carrera Aerial Jet set, a sort of monorail race toy, which is so cool its untrue.

The box art of this set is fabulous with its glowing shot of the racing jets.

Looking a lot like a Scalextric set inside, with that thick polystyrene tray, I suppose Carrera can be seen as a slot car type toy. I'm sure I've seen Carrera racing car layouts.

For spaceniks like us there was also a Carrera Jet Apollo set!

The box art is a bit minimalist I feel.

I love the Apollo capsule and the grey moon globe! Reminds me of other space toys with moons!
