TIMMY'S PLASTON POSTBOX

Here's my Plaston postbox/moneybox that I've had since I was 3 or 4 (1966/7). 

Its plastic is still soft and squeezy despite being about 55 years old. The base has what looks like M89 just under where it says Plaston - would this be the mould number? 

Alas it no longer has its stickers (I do remember scraping them off at about age 10. Bad Toad!) I've added a picture of what the collection time sticker looked like (good old internet!), but cant find any pics of the toy with its other stickers (I think there was a 1 for the collection). 

The top would have had a 'Post office' sticker - I've found an image online of the type of postbox the toy is based on and include that as well.

Hi,

Stumbled across this reissue in my local model shop and just had to have it. I remember getting them first time around in about 1971!

I made a quick diorama with them in an old Ferrerro Rocher box!

You may not be able to easily get hold of the SpaceX Moon Buggy but there's always one or two Manama stamps lurking online somewhere.

Its one of the Apollo 13 series, a series of stamps with 'designs for future moon exploration'.

Having been to Moonbase Junior's second 5th birthday party today, one outside for his mates and their parents, we came home full of Hot Wheels cake and quite pooped.

I settled down to watch a film called Next with Nic Cage. The premise was interesting. Nic could foresee two minutes into his future every two minutes. Not much leeway really. I did wonder if Nic had been in a similar film about numbers?

Alas I fell asleep after 10 minutes and Nic didn't see that coming.

I got to thinking about being able to see two minutes into the future. Its not much and not enough, say, to escape a large explosion or do anything about a sinking ship I wouldn't have thought. Rather sadly the two minutes will also include foreseeing one's own demise, which is a real downer.

I have yet to watch most of Nic's film but what would you do with this ability readers? Is it overall a pain in the backside?

MAKING THE BEST OF SUMMER'S END

Hi Woodsy. There's no denying it, Summer is over!

The daytime weather is still nice, but leaves are falling and nights are chilly here.

I spent last weekend in Wildwood, where the beaches are mostly deserted and the boardwalk shops are getting ready to close. That means SALES!I rounded up a nice little cache of toys at bargain prices.

Upon returning home, I covered up the pool for the Winter. Next stop, HALLOWEEN! 

I have a few new Mego Monster figures for my Mad Monster Castle display, and I am combing the stores for possible new Halloween decorations. I will keep you posted!-BrianF NJ USA
