You may not be able to easily get hold of the SpaceX Moon Buggy but there's always one or two Manama stamps lurking online somewhere.
Its one of the Apollo 13 series, a series of stamps with 'designs for future moon exploration'.
What do you think?

Either the Moon really is made of green cheese, or the grass is kept in very good order.
ReplyDeleteI bet that's the test area Paul. The buggy never made it off Earth. There's amazing film footage of this vehicle being tested. Its on the blog somewhere under the label Moon Buggy.
DeleteYeah, the SpaceX (that name is never going to have the same association after Elon Musk!) Moon Buggy is one of the gaping holes in my childhood. I stared at it longingly in a corner store, but by the time I'd saved up 5 shillings, it had been sold. The last time I visited the UK, the corner store had been demolished too...
ReplyDeleteSorry to hear that Looey. I don't think I was aware of the MB as a kid, although I did have a lot of the SpaceX I series. Sorry, I had to laugh at your story, the shop being demolished too! Now that's final!
