SADDLE UP,
A N G E L I C
I picked this slim female plastic figure up a while back. I had no idea what it was. My first thought was Robotech so you can imagine how amazed I was when I worked out it was actually Destiny Angel from the new Captain Scarlet! This figure was issued by Burger King in 2004. The lugs at the back slotted onto a plastic stand of some sort. Anyone got these figures?
SMALL STINGRAYS
As an addendum to my previous Matchbox Stingray post from yesterday, here's some photos of three small Stingray models I have, including the Matchbox, which does seem to be reasonably popular with some of you.. The first is the Bandai Mattel die-cast Stingray dated 2001. The smallest I have, and coming in at 80 mm, or just under 3".
The second, also dated from 2001 is the more detailed plastic version from Konami which is slightly longer at 97 mm, or just under 4".
Finally, my recently blogged die-cast Matchbox Stingray from 1992, which is 100 mm, or 4". Not as detailed, but as it's intended as a toy, much more durable. ( apart from the periscope!)
Here's a couple of photos showing them in comparison to each other.
Owl in Flight
While looking for information on any up coming toy fairs in Auckland, I came across this site. Scroll down the page, and you will find a brief video of a miniature owl flying through a night sky - amazing. I love it.

A SHARK INCREASE
I picked up this modernish Action Man dolphin this summer. It really reminded me of my own soft plastic Action Man shark I had in the Sixties.
Here's one still carded from an old Vectis auction.
I remember it being huge but when I checked on Action Man HQ it's much smaller than I thought. I'm sure I used to stuff Billy Blastoff frogman in its mouth!

Looking how toy sharks have developed I must admit I was pretty gobsmacked when I saw this!
