ARGENTINIAN MOON BUS BY GALGO. OR?

We've seen many examples of the blog effect over the years; direct lifting of titles and descriptions by ebay sellers.

Some of these have been for completely misidentified toys such as the Wotan Project SWORD Badge!

Above is another classic blunder: the Project SWORD Moon Bus Battery Op by Galgo Argentina.

We've featured the Galgo toy on the blog several times but, despite it being yellow, its not a Project SWORD Moon Bus!

BLUE GLIDER

I like this little blue space glider I saw on an old auction,

It's got all the hot jet style that sums up that glorious future.

The chicken seems impressed too!

Can't see any makers' mark underneath.

Has anyone got a toy like this?

PLASTIC GUILT?

The recent backlash against plastics is making me feel guilty.

My entire childhood was filled with plastic toys and plastic items were all around my parents' home.

I'm not entirely sure what to feel about it now with the anti-plastic lobby gathering pace.  The Blue Planet images of plastics scattered all through the oceans were quite terrible.

I enjoyed getting plastic toys as a kid but maybe it'll be a thing of the past one day. Did our generation simply have too much?

SCHATTENSPIEL

HOME-MADE SPACEX SURVEYOR 2 TOY: ALL DONE AND DUSTED!

Phew! That wasn't easy especially the blue windscreen. After a couple of duds I ended up sawing a Hermesetas box in half! It sort of worked I hope.

Not sure what to do next!

SURVEYOR 2 FROM SCRATCH: PROGRESS SO FAR

 Having fun banging together more household bits to fashion a type of SpaceX Surveyor 2.

The main body is an old stapler with cartridges of staples on each side. The exposed engine is a vintage shaver head with side screws glued on.

The radar includes drawing pins and the grabber arms are odd items from my bits box. The pilot is a HO panzer driver I think.

The balloon tyres are Kinder egg cases. I'm making another set out of guitar volume knobs too. Not sure which will work.

The undercarraige holds a pair of basic paper axle holders. The axles will be wooden kebab sticks. All painted silver.

This model hasn't been that easy so far. I'm hoping for a smooth finish!

PILES OF SPACEX

You don't alas see great heaps of Project SWORD toys but not so SpaceX or Golden Astronaut. 

Owing to their small size lots of them turn up in piles, bundles and great lots!
