Very nice work, your efforts are almost becoming indistinguishable from mass produced toys! -That's a compliment! It's what I am constantly trying for in my work. The only thing that still looks like a model as opposed to a "toy" is the lack of vacuum-metallized chrome parts. The off the shelf chrome sparys have never been up to the task of replicating that particular look. However, if you have an airbrush, you REALLY should experiment with some Alclad II chrome paint over a gloss black base coat. The Alclad is pricey, but it goes a long way and the results are AMAZING! Happy modelling!
Brilliant! Do the Soyuz pair next!
ReplyDeleteThanks Kevin! Glad you like it. May have been the toughest one yet that! So, the Soyuz pair eh! Hmmmm.
DeleteThese models just get better each time. Bright light and deep shadows add a cool dramatic feel to the pics. Well done, Woodsy :)
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch Tone, glad you like my tinkerings! I love that phrase 'Bright light and deep shadows'! May have to use that!
DeleteVery inventive & convincing recycling of Kinder egg cases. A lovely model and nice colour combination. Well done!
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot Arto!
DeleteAnother Doozy, Woodsy!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fruitful Sunday after all - one boot sale less, one finished creation more. :)
Very inspired as ever and a lovely rendition of a classic vehicle.
Best -- Paul
Thanks a bunch Paul. Glad you like this one too.
DeleteVery convincing, would have thought this was a commercially available toy.
ReplyDeleteCheers Andy! Praise indeed!
