NOVO HAWKER HURRICANE AND STUKKA BITS BOX

Found this box of bits in a local charity shop the other week - model parts for a Hawker Hurricane Fighter and maybe some Stukka bits. Certainly Stukka instructions.

I love buying old toys and models when they're cheap. Even battered ones. This box will form part of a little model sale I'll have on the Bay soon. All part of the 'Father of the Bride' savings fund as my daughter is getting married this summer!

Greg Martin's models are amazing. There's tons of  terrific models on this scratch builder's blog.  Many Gerry Anderson designs too and lots of buildings!

BATMOBILE ON LEAVES

Above is my simple photo homage to one of my all-time favourite Batmobile movie scenes, the Keaton Burton 1989 Batmobile returning to the cave along a leaf-strewn lane.

TOY BILL'S TOY PHOTOGRAPHY ON YOU TUBE

We've seen much fabulous toy photography on the blog over the years: Scoop, Kev, Bill B and Paul V.

For a novice like me its fun to see a few tricks of the trade and I enjoyed seeing some on You Tube.

I stumbled across Jeff Freisen this year. An artist photographer, I was blown away by his series Ghost Crossing Canada.

The above picture he calls Mossy Crossing, Quebec. Its my favourite.

GREEN SLIME FROM LEWIS

Hi Woodsie, just some pics related to recent post I'd enjoyed...

The Midori Green Slime spaceship... Here's a 70's Plamo ( Plas(tic) Mo(del) ) Japanese print ad I scanned for you featuring all the ship kit designs..

And further to your article on "The Studio" My wife Marilyn who is an illustrator and miniaturist was deeply impressed by this book before we met and showed it to me as a source of inspiration. 

We used it as such in our Sci Fi artists' commune in the early 1980's and later it was at the back of our minds when we finally built our dream home/studio in the Blue Mountains of NSW. Here are a few shots of it...
