ZEROID MISSILE DEFENSE PAD TAKE 2

A while back I featured the Zeroid Missile Defense Pad which originally came as part of the Zeroid Action Set complete with a Zeroid.

This is the Missile Defense Pad on its own as a Zeroid accessory. 

The packaging, which is dated 1970 shows the Zeroid range on the back, including Zeroid Commander Zogg, although no mention of ultra rare Zemo!

The loose contents are all still sealed in the bag, but unlike the original Missile Defence Pad which was a cream colour, this one is bright red, the same as Zeroid Zintar's Lunar Sled.

GLICO SPACE TOYS

Some of the candy toys available to collectors in Japan are quite simply stunning. Here are a few space related ones, which I love. I'm assuming they're by Glico. The green tube reminds me a little of the SpaceX Lunar Transporter. 

AAARR !! PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN KITS BY MPC

I found these ads in a Batman comic from 1973.

I must admit I've never come across these little beauties before. Were they ever released in the UK?

This photo was taken by a member of the Prehistoric Scenes Forum who managed to get hold of one quite recently.

It looks great. The Skeleton in the box apparently pops out and stabs the map using 'Zap Action'!

Apart from the films and the theme park ride they're based on, I had no idea that 'The Pirates..' had a  longer history.

Its a big year in the Woodsy writing world. My big brother Steve has his second horror novel out now. Its called Priest Town. Previously only available on Kindle last year, Priest Town is now out as a proper paperback and has a brand new cover to boot.

THE NAMES OF THE LP ROBOTS AND ALIENS

I mentioned yesterday that the LP robots and aliens have names. The names appear to be linked to this particular version of the toys, Space Aliens, shown here courtesy of Astronit.

On the full picture, available on Astronit's wonderful flickr page, the names are listed as follows:

1. Jovan Ninety Nine
2. Computron
3. Max Rex
4. Liftor
5. Mach 12
6. Bean

I have never seen these names anywhere else or any other names for the LP robots. Does anyone own this Space Aliens set? Does anyone know the origin of the names and indeed the designs for the robots and aliens themselves?

ANDERCON 2015 BUILD UP :RETURNING TERRAHAWKS GUESTS

Last year at Andercon there was a Terrahawks reunion featuring some of the actors and crew associated with this love it or hate it series.

Here's a few photos I've previously posted of some of those guests who are returning to Andercon in just over a week's time, and also just to remind ourselves of who's who.

A returning guest is the entertaining Jeremy Hitchen, who voiced 'Tiger' Ninestein .

Another returning voice artist is the amiable  Robbie Stevens who'll no doubt do his gurgling Yung Star impression.
