The Missus and I took a drive to Rothwell today, a small pleasant town near Leeds.
We went largely for the 8 charity shops in the centre but really enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere of the pedestrianised high street. The Spring sun helped too.
I'm being frugal at the mo with buying stuff so I came home with just two books on David Bowie. Oh and the Missus bought me a coat for summer, as well as her own odds and ends.
Here are some things I passed on.
This looked like a female Boba Fett. Anyone know her?
Countdown Annuals.
I've got these already. You?
Take Your Pick board game, a new one on me.
Antroponova, a huge anthropology set, mint inside. It weighed a ton but looked really interesting, what with skulls and chemicals!
Family Fortunes. Was this on TV in your country?
I thought this Grand National game was old but it's from 2000.
Vintage Beatles always excite me so when I saw Twist and Shout (did Lennon and McCartney not write it?) and I wanna Be your Man on the other side of this single I did, get excited.
Then I saw the Barron Knights! Doh!
Anything here you like?

The figure is Sabine Wren from the Star Wars Rebels animated series (2014-18). She is a Mandalorian so is wearing Mandalorian armour, as does Boba Fett. Though Fett is not a Mandalorian he inherited his armour.
ReplyDeleteFascinating Yorkie Thanks. It was £8.
DeleteI think the Family Fortunes game is called Family Feud in the U.S.
ReplyDeleteThis is BrianF
