Woodsy,
Here's a scan of one of the model sheets (aka used by cartoonist to draw the characters).
Fred and Wilma had Dino and Baby Puss (shown in the credits but rarely in any episode) as pets and a couple of years later they had Pebbles.
I've been blogging my set of 47 sheets for some time now:

I had a set of plastic figures of Flinstones characters when I was a kid. They were detailed, in full colour and quite large (6 inches maybe?). This dinosaur was one of them. I have no idea who made them or how I got them. They may have come from Belgium. Does anyone know anything about them?
ReplyDeleteInteresting that Kevin. Daykin springs to mind but I'll have a look in some books.
DeleteIve added a pic of a vintage Dakin Fred figure Kevin. Is that like your old figures?
DeleteNo, all the bits were plastic including the clothing. I think you could take them apart and put them together again but I'm not sure that was intentional. I had an aunt and uncle who lived in Belgium and had a shop so they might have come from that but I'm not sure. Maybe they were advertising pieces?
