This popped up in my feed, a great looking pair of red plastic vehicles that would not have looked out of place on a Gerry Anderson show .
The Fire Engine is indeed a JR21 toy. I've got one, but if it ever appeared in Thunderbirds I'm unsure.
The Lincoln Bulldozer looks incredible. Anyone got one?
Boy Oh Boy, look at the price of the fire tender!

Yes, the name "Gerry Anderson" has certainly spawned a rich collector's market, leaving most of us just peering in the windows longingly... SFZ
ReplyDeleteYes, the windows of childhood SF.
DeleteThere was a much smaller version of that Airport Crash Tender by Matchbox. Alas, one I never had.
ReplyDeleteI think that small die-cast tender actually was in Thunderbirds Paul.
DeleteThe old crash tender is one of the early examples of the ‘blog effect’. Chancers do a quick google, find it on Moonbase and as it’s popular, assume it must be really valuable and stick it on ebay with a few choice words in the title and a stupid price.
ReplyDeleteDo you think so. It is JR21 and all prices have gone up generally for Gerry Anderson related toys.
