Woodsy,
I got a new toy in which this Project S.W.O.R.D. Official Manual was in. The manual is fragile, and the paper has darkened considerably (I'm assuming it would have been white originally?). I don't recall seeing this on Moonbase before, but I could be mistaken.

Lovely find! I love those old graphics.
ReplyDeleteI like how it appears to have been prepared on an old school typewriter - very official looking.
DeleteWow !
ReplyDeleteThat's got to be almost the only copy of that stuff.
It could be unique !
Paul Vreede has this as part of his Tri-ang Spacex website, so they're still out there in the wild.
DeleteA wonderful find. Such fragile paperwork so seldom survives. Which makes it very special.
ReplyDeleteYes and it is definitely fragile Paul. The seller just stuffed in the box, but I at least found a suitably sized plastic ziplock bag to protect it
DeleteA beautiful SWORD artefact Ed. It was issued with each of the UK SWORD toys except the smaller Scouts. Which toy did yours come out of?
ReplyDeleteThe Apollo Saturn Rocket. I don't remember if it was you or Paul Vreede who put me on to the fleaBay sale, but I've had it on 'watch' for several weeks. I finally got a few disposable dineros to buy the thing and hit the 'Buy' button.
DeleteRings a bell so may have been me Ed. So glad you bagged it, it's probably my favourite SWORD toy. So impressive. Will you be after the American version now, the Sears Rocket Launcher?
Delete'be after' is very loose interpretation of my method of collecting Woodsy. Occasionally, I actually target a particular toy or company, but 95% of the time I just wing it. And of course, a lot depends on whether the funds are available.
