Wandering round Oakham Museum in Rutland I spotted these old games.
Z-Cars was a great TV show. Don't think I had the game but I had the annual.
Did you?
They also had milk bottle tops! Remember those!
Out and about last night there I spotted a gorgeous electric guitar, another area I'd collect if I was rich.
A Höfner Colorama from 1961.
This is what it would it would look like in daylight! (Seen online in another shop).
Wow!

Z-Cars was a program that never made it to the US to my knowledge, but it sure look cool, from some clips I've seen. SFZ
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty ace Paul.
DeleteOh, I remember School milk! Decades before the Milk Snatcher put an end to profigacy such as ensuring growing children had state provided nutrition!
ReplyDeleteI worked out how to remove my bottle caps uncrushed and used them as tiny foil frisbees -spinning them with a flick between my index and middle fingers.
Of course Fun Police teachers took a dim view of anyone actually enjoying themselves at school....
Ha ha! The Fun Police! That made me chuckle. We had Prefects too just to ensure sufficient misery for all!
DeleteI'm a child of the sixties. Milk at school, Z cars, Batman. We had the Totopoly game. We even chose horses when watching the horse races on TV at the weekend
ReplyDeleteHappy days Khusru! I'm with you there!
