This is an odd one.
A Lincoln toy, the Air Strike Moving Target.
It looks like a plastic gerbil house with two jets on gangplanks.
I've no idea how this works!
You?

That is a beautiful mystery - I want one! SFZ
ReplyDeleteMe too!
DeleteThis is a really obscure toy, and there is not much information on it. Looks to be 1960s or 1970s. Projectiles are loaded in to the nose of each aircraft, a striker is pulled back, and released firing the missile through the hole in the outer casing.
ReplyDeleteIt seems the inner casing rotates, and it also has holes in it - the rounds will only enter the centre part when the holes are lined up. This is powered by clockwork, and is wound up with a key. By Lincoln International, so it was probably made in Hong Kong, although I can not see a country of manufacture on the box.
There are only a handful of sales listings for this game on Worthpoint. I have never seen one.
It is a strange one and very interesting Paul. Thanks too for the extra Info and pics.
