I had one of these as a kid.
A miniature plastic bible.
They appear to be still around, in various colours too!
They were very tiny.
This one's by Cosmo ( found online, not my hand!)
The secret was inside seen through a small peep hole.
The Lords Prayer no less!
It appears that the magnification was all possible via a miniature Stanhope lens.
Stanhopes got around.
Here's a metal Chrysler Building TV viewer.

I had a keychain bible with paper pages that folded out like those panoramic view postcards. It was bound in gold stamped red leatherette. It was about the same size as yours, but understandibly thicker.
ReplyDeleteBut my favourite small thing, was a black plastic coffin with a white plastic skeleton moulded in, about 30mm tall!
Yeah, I had one too Looey, with a snap shut lock. Beautiful little item. The coffin is fascinating. I had a magnetic coffin and a separate skeleton but yours sound like they're one. Any pictures?
