Snapped a few bits on a recent Barnsley emporium run.
Is this a Mogura?
And wow, that's a tin chopper!
Coupla old sets. Merit Merry Milkman - not sure what that is - and Ideal's Hang on Harry, a game I played as a nipper.
I'm beginning to think I didn't watch TV in 1979, but then again I was 18. Ive never heard of Hazell. You?
And to finish, two gorgeous trackside buildings.
Anything you like?
Are those rail buildings Bayco brand? The red white and green colour scheme looks similar.
ReplyDeleteLovely toy Mogura, and lovely tin chopper! SFZ
ReplyDeleteI dimly recall Hazell, but did not like it. Think it was a private eye show ?
ReplyDeleteThe Merit Merry Milkman is a game, in which you deliver milk and other goods to the different houses in a street.
I think Hazell was fairly well regarded, but it didn't last long. There were 22 hour-long episodes from Thames TV. It was a slightly spoofy detective series, based on books by Gordon Williams and footballer Terry Venables. Nicholas Ball played the cockney Hazell; a note of interest was that the theme tune was by Roxy Music's Andy Mackay, with singer was Maggie Bell.
