It's probably about 3 foot long, which doesn't sound huge but it's big enough that whilst you're concentrating on the stern, you inevitably smack the bow against something. Well, I did constantly anyway!
The Moebius Seaview comes in two sizes. A giant version in 1/128th scale, and a more reasonable model in 1/350th scale. I have one of the latter, but have not built it yet.
1/350 scale is big enough for anyone! There is a Tamiya kit of the Battleship Yamato and a Bandai Space Battleship Yamato at that scale and they are huge! (Although not as big as the 1/144 scale prototype of the Battleship, which I saw at the Shozuoka Hobby Show I saw earlier this year!) I really pined after the 1/350 scale Space Battleship, with all its working features including properly scaled Bridge crew figures... But apart from the eye watering price point, for some unknown reason it was modelled on the video game version, which meddled with the proportions for no good reason. I had to await the Space Battleship Yamato 2199 series, to get a properly styled version at 1/500 scale which is more than big enough! Along with my Moebius Space Pod and Fantastic Voyage Proteus, it remains unassembled in its box. - maybe when I'm older...
An Impressive model Kev, but how big is stupidly big ?
