I've never heard of this magazine before, Child Life. You?
I saw it on auction last year I think and saved the snaps for MC. This 1979 edition features Battlestar Galactica on the cover and inside.

What a weird title !
ReplyDeleteMaybe it had been called Boy's Life or Girl's Life, and they decided to make it for all kids.
I know! I reckon they were thinking of Wild Life Mish!
DeleteIts one of those one off publications that got churned out when a major film release caught the public attention. Star Wars had loads of them, cheap paper, small runs and dodgy photography - mostly reprints of existing promotional material. Bill
ReplyDeleteInteresting Bill. Vintage toy magazines had a habit of coming and going too!
DeleteThere was a magazine called Boys' Life in the USA. This was aimed at members of the Boy Scouts of America, and was later re-named Scout Life. The title Child Life has a rather 1930s ring to it.
ReplyDeleteInteresting stuff Paul.
DeleteYes, what a strange title for what was obviously a cheap cash-in on Battlestar Galactica. Shoddy product then, prized treasure now! SFZ
ReplyDeleteHa ha! The strange world of collectables SF!
