Ever since first seeing these three Japanese 2001 Space Odyssey plastic spaceships I've liked them a great deal. They featured on MC in its early days sixteen years ago.
I recently saw them again on a Japanese site and saved the pics.
2001 was linked to Project SWORD in a few different ways and I've always thought these sleek ships were very SWORDesque.
Do you like them?
I *love* them. Hope you're feeling better already, Woodsy.
ReplyDeleteOver the worst ta Arto!
DeleteThere were two different Japanese toy issues of the Orion by different makers. This silver and clear red version and a stubbier white and clear red one too. I love those stripes on the packaging, they were a thing back then, remember the various Captain Scarlet toys?
ReplyDeleteNot sure I've seen the white one Looey. Have you got a picky?
DeleteI love the first one - think it was called a 'Nuclear Ferry' too, hence the SWORD connection. Japanese packaging very often uses stripes, I think I have a Zero X with stripey packaging. Lovely toys. Bill
ReplyDeleteReally? Nuclear Ferry! Blimey. Never seen any of them in the flesh so their size is a mystery to me really. You Bill?
