DeleteShipley Clock Tower was considered futuristic when it was built in the sixties Woodsy (Shipley, as you know, was my home town, as a kid).

DeleteThere's a few in Ormskirk near me, a spectacular UFO shaped one by my university and a gorgeous castle shaped one, which featured on Channel 4's Grand Designs, and was supposed to have a huge glass conservatory on. It's clearly not going ahead, as it's sat empty for a few years now.

Deletethere's a concrete dome home about a mile from our house here in Vegas. I see it occasionally (that is, when I'm paying attention) as I'm driving down that street.
