I liked this trio I saw on auction so I saved this shot.
I recognise the bottom two toys, one Italian and one, Y X-4, Japanese, but the top toy is a mystery.
It looks good. Does anyone know what it is?

The basic shape looks familiar. Perhaps a railway observation car, or even the General Motors Aerotrain of the 1950s, with lots of extra bits added ? Four wheels at the front, and two at the back. Propeller driven trains did exist. This one looks as though it might have flashing lights ?
ReplyDeleteIt is a futuristic train "Aurora" by the same manufacturer as Lunik 2000 in the photo, the Italian Caligaris Tibidabo.
ReplyDeleteThe front has similarities with this another Italian toy train, Treno azzurro (top photo)

Thanks Arto! Thats a new one on me! What an Art Deco beauty! And looking it up I saw the train version too. Now that's just gorgeous!
DeleteI have no idea what it is, but I want one! An amazing retro streamlined design, like something out of the 1930s! Wow! SFZ
ReplyDeleteI agree SF, could even be a Batman vehicle!
