Here is what I did with a toy tanker Woodsy gave me.
I have turned it into the tanker from the 1971 TV movie Duel. (If you haven't seen it, it really is worth watching, it's one of Spielberg's first efforts).
Thanks, and thanks for the toy too. I put a plasticard skirt around the tank and built the back of it from milliput. The cab I sliced the back off with a cutting wheel. The rest was just paint and weathering.
I think the bumper on the truck was made of steel railway track
ReplyDeleteBig and menacing. A really good looking model, from a classic movie.
ReplyDeleteThanks. Yep a good film from a weird sub genre of homicidal vehicle films. "Killdozer" leaps to mind!
DeleteLooks ace Kev,! Can't believe it's the same toy I sent you! Fab background and shots too! How did you convert the toy?

DeleteFab technique Kev. Where's your cutting wheel?
DeleteOn the end of my dremel when in use, in a toolbox otherwise!
DeleteI'm often at the end of my Dremel, especially with my family! Ha ha.
DeleteLovely work from a much overlooked classic! Killdozer was a good laugh, but I always enjoyed Vanishing Point for all out car action! Bill
ReplyDeleteNot seen either of those films Bill.
DeleteThanks. Not seen vanishing point, if you'll pardon the pun!
ReplyDeleteAmazing recreation of that iconic killer vehicle - good job! SFZ
ReplyDeleteThanks, much appreciated.
