I never liked the design of Mac's car, but that is a lovely model of it. I see you have both headlights, unlike the Serial offers example. You blithely say "my latest find" HOW did you find a 50+ year old assembled kit, in such good condition?
Hi Lewis . One of my customers found it clearing out his attic. ( the one who bought in the box of stuff I blogged a picture of a few months ago ) I had to pay him a reasonable price for it, but I’d never seen another one for sale so it had to be bought! Will O
I wonder if it inspired the London from BLAKE'S 7?
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean. It's oddly more futuristic than the London though (which is 100s of years later!).
ReplyDeleteThats a rarity indeed! How big is it and did it come in kit form?
ReplyDeleteKit form. 7 and 1/2 inches long. More details here: https://cerealoffers.com/Kelloggs/Sugar_Smacks/1960s/Joe_90_Model_Mac-s_Car_/joe_90_model_mac-s_car_.html
DeleteOddly, I think it looks better in that duller more military green.
ReplyDeleteThat is a really cool cereal premium! Was that only available in the UK do you know?
