Woodsy and Fellow Moonbasers,
It's been a month or two since submitting one of the tin-litho planes in my collection. This measures 5 3/8" (13.7cm) L x 4 7/8" (12.4cm) wingspan x 2 1/4" (5.7cm) H and fits in perfectly with a slew of other similarly sized aircraft in the collection. Like other tin-litho airplanes of the era, it splits into two assemblies. Enjoy!

What a great looking toy. It really does look like the F-86D Sabre Dog.
ReplyDeleteThanx Paul! While the markings are a bit fanciful, the general outline is correct.
DeleteJust a magnificent toy! The craft that went into mass-producing these things for kids boggles the mind, and the lithography really brings it to life. Wow. SFZ
ReplyDeleteThanx Zigg! I absolutely love tin-litho and these planes are just the tip of my tin collection!
