To keep my toy hand in I've bought an airline to mess with.
Costing 8 Euro, this ARJ21 plastic plane is a foot long, has detachable parts, illuminating nacelles and engine sounds.
More interesting is how much it looks like ....
..... The Century 21 Toys Moonship!
I've begun basic tinkering on the liner, removing some stickers. Without my bits box here I may struggle to find parts, but here goes .....
Is it meant to be a DC9 airliner do you suppose?
ReplyDeletePossibly Kev. More astute aviators than me may know.
DeleteWhoo hoo! You're getting into customising kits like I did as a teenager!
ReplyDeleteI take it You're not going to rework the passenger windows by filling them in and making larger ones?
You could always use decals for the windows, if you didn't fancy a lot of work with needle files!
Its already a decal Looey. I may just follow their lead!
DeleteI had to look this one up - the Comac ARJ21 is a Chinese-built regional jet airliner seating just under 100 people. First flight 2008.
ReplyDeleteConversion work without a spares box filled with useful 'bits' by your side. That will be a challenge. Good luck.
Great info Paul. It's a real plane!
DeleteIm not sure chocolate and fruit bread will help though!
ReplyDeleteThey do and they are!
