Hello Woodsy
I probably have one or two PEZ dispensers around somewhere, more because they were purchased to give away to kids rather than to be kept.
I did see this collection of them at The American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore recently.

Did they have the original dispenser which just had a knurled grip cover?
ReplyDeleteThat was back before someone in the marketing department decided to try putting a sculpted head over it.
The rest is, as they say -History!
I must look up the flavour range of PEZ over the years!
Hello Lewis, this was a display cabinet showing a collection posed as Folk Art. It was not a museum curated collection so probably not including the original dispenser.
DeleteSo far I have been able to resist the call of PEZ, and only have a few. That is a great selection.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous exhibit Brian. So alluring. I could easily collect PEZ. Like Paul I am resisting the call. Modern ones are as equally seductive as the old ones, although she will affect collectability like it does with everything. My rarest PEZ was the Creature from the Black Lagoon, sadly long gone now.
ReplyDeleteShe? Age!
