Hello Moonbasers! I'm enjoying your posts as always, but the recent FAB 1 discussion sent me down a while new Google rabbit hole!
The Dinkytvspace website featured one of the most exhaustive explorations of a toy and its variants I've ever seen!
Featured is a TV21 photo of FAB 1 prowling the mean streets of Meddings City.
A sign above one of the shop windows caught my eye and I just had to Google my hunch...
Have I cracked it, or am I drawing too long a bow?
Cheers,
Looey

Well spotted Looey. The Silhouette itself appears in several episodes of Thunderbirds, for example In 'Terror in New York City' modified as a police car. It's canopy is also used as the canopy of the master elevator car in 'Trapped in the Sky'. Decals from all sorts of kits plus kit box cut outs and letraset were also used for signs throughout the many series.
ReplyDeleteGreat info Yorkie, fascinating. Great detective work too Looey! I adored my Hot Wheels Silhouette as a kid, bit like the Draguar!
DeleteLooks like they have just cut the box up for a prop!
ReplyDeleteQuick and easy!
