This old mixed bundle of Matchbox scrappers given to me recently by my Missus has kept me busy on the die-cast bench this weekend.
Here's before I got work on them.
Here's after.
It was a lot of fun trying out the different paint pens I have now.
Its always takes a little time to find the right colour.
I tried Sharpie markers, matt and gloss paint pens and metallic paint pens too.
I was pleased with these three as the finish came out really smooth. The Matchbox train took the metallic pen paint especially well.
It was a great mixed bag to do up.
Hmmm. I need more now!
Beautiful restoration, and that train is FAB!
ReplyDeleteThanks.
DeleteAnother great batch of restorations. You really must do an article on the paint pens that you use, what brands, types of paint, etc. Plus any tips and tricks for using them.
ReplyDeleteThanks Paul. I must say I keep it all very simple. If it's too complicated I don't do it.
DeleteI'm impatient!
DeleteGreat job Woodsy - looks like you've latched on to a new hobby!
ReplyDeleteCheers Ed. It is very relaxing. Too much really, I don't want to do anything else!
DeleteI have this image of a mountain made of the world's scrapper toy cars, with you sitting cross legged at the foot of it, furiously scribbling with paint pens!😄
ReplyDeleteHa ha! I love that image Looey. Made me chuckle!
