Here's my contribution to the subject. The TN toys (or Nomura), DC9. I've got a couple, the one in McDonnell Douglas livery is my original from childhood.
Yep, both still fully functional too, quite complex series of movement, taxiing, stopping, opening door, lowering stairs. Then, raising stairs, closing doors, revving engines and then zooming forward to take off speed.
There were some really amazing tinplate toys around at one time. It is amazing that some have survived the decades in such excellent condition.

ReplyDeleteBeautiful Kev - what a great piece of tin! And also very neat that it's from your childhood.
ReplyDeleteThanks, yep, it's one of my childhood toys that my Mum saved for me!
ReplyDeleteLovely big toy from back then Kev! A great job keeping hold of it by Mum and you!
