Very nice, and plenty of room. What are the shelf supports like ? If they are the plastic peg type I would advise replacing them with metal pegs from a hardware shop. I have had the plastic type shear off on a bookshelf, so now I automatically replace them with metal.
It looks like an IKEA Billy bookcase with the optional glass doors and shelves (I have a few), if that is the case, the shelf brackets are metal and screwed into the body of it.
What a great feeling knowing you can display those treasures you've collected. Everyones different but I opt for specific themes per shelf. I like the variety. I'm sure you'll have so much fun filling them in whatever way you prefer. Looking forward to seeing the results, Woodsy.
It was sixty quid plus twenty delivery. I don't know where it's from originally sorry. I dismantled the whole thing and reconstructed it in my room. The screws and fasteners do look like IKEA.
Looks like ones I've got. My model kits and Spacex scratchbuilds are in mine.
ReplyDeletethats nice - I'd have to have my Spaces and Apollo Moon Exploring, maybe a Nuclear Ferry and Aoshima Zero X too? Bill
ReplyDeleteor my Totem Pole collection would probably fill it nicely!

ReplyDeletePerfect for the new wing in the Pontifract Museum of Childhood!
ReplyDeleteHaha! At the grand opening there'll be Pontefract cakes all round Looey!
DeleteWhat would *I* put in it?
ReplyDeleteHa! Ha!
I'd never get the chance.
My wife would have it all planned out with what she'd fill it with before I even got it home! :)
