READERS SPOTTING TOYS: ARTO'S SEVENTIES TOYS IN SEE NO EVIL
Just watched See No Evil (1971), a cherry of Brit horror of the early Seventies. Not sure if you are aware of these toy shots in the opening credits, at 0.55 mark on the YouTube clip
To the right of the FN rifle is the Airfix Gun Emplacement, and below that is the large Gun Emplacement Assault Set, with soft plastic figures and vehicles. On the left is a Britains Ltd gun, I think the US 155mm Long Tom ?
Great spot Arto! I had the Airfix rifle too. A great toy, I loved cocking it! The Action Man box behind the vehicle looks like the 1970 Action Man Action Soldier's https://www.actionmanhq.co.uk/figures/action-soldier-1970/index.php and the vehicle itself looks like the Personnel Carrier https://www.actionmanhq.co.uk/action-man-vehicles/personnel-carrier-1960s/index.php
I remember seeing the film years ago and always thought I’d seen a Johnny Seven OMA in the window- obviously notš¤£.

ReplyDeleteNice find, Arto. The Airfix FN was such a fragile piece. The barrel in particular could easily be broken.
