My new campaign to re-watch the X-Files is going well. Staring this week on Series one I'm now onto episode 5. So far I've seen:
1. Pilot
2. Deep Throat
3. Squeeze [I thought it was called Tooms]
4. Conduit
Next up is 5, Jersey Devil, which I don't recall but sounds great! "The murder of a homeless man which is very similar in detail to a murder committed in 1947 leads Mulder and Scully to the legendary man-beast the Jersey Devil roaming in the forests surrounding Atlantic City." [Wikipedia]
Which were your favourite episodes readers from any of the 11 series?
There were so many that I loved and all very different. Beyond the Sea, Clyde Bruckman's final repose, The Unnatural, the sideshow one, whose title eludes me for the moment. The almost dialogue-less one from the very latest seasons where modern technology just annoys our heroes.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kev. Interesting.
DeleteMy wife and I loved X-Files in its original run. The episodes I recall most vividly were "Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose" and "Home." Not sure what season those were. We saw "Home" in its TV premiere, in a version which was NEVER shown again! Not in re-run, not in syndication, not on VHS or DVD. Let's just say that episode in its original incarnation was DARK...
ReplyDeleteI've seen Home Zigg but yep, edited.
DeleteI can't remember the name of the episode, although I'm sure it was an early one? Featured a character called Dwayne Berry? Not sure if he also appeared in another episode a little later?
ReplyDeleteTony - Dwayne Barry abducts Scully in 'Beyond the Sea' - a two parter I think. Bill
Delete'Tooms' is the follow up to 'Squeeze' a bit later in the series. Bill
DeleteThanks guys.
DeleteMine would be the season finale 'Anasazi', 'Kill Switch' written by William Gibson , 'Beyond the Sea' and 'The Erlenmeyer Flask' Bill
ReplyDeleteLots to look forward to then. Eleven series!
