One of my fave film scenes of all time, Talos waking up in Jason and the Argonauts, perhaps pone of my fave films ever too!
OK, a few headscratchers:
1. What does Hercules take from the treasure room?
2. Who made Talos?
3. What is the name of the steaming fluid inside Talos?
3. Liquid bronze Bill
ReplyDeleteSorry Bill, nope!
DeleteDamn ! I always assumed it was bronze! Another go: 2. Hephaestus ?
DeleteBravo! Yep, the blacksmith of the Gods, also known as Vulcan to Romans! The liquid in Talos was called Ichor, the blood of the Gods.
Deleteyay ! Got there eventually. All those years I have been telling my kids its liquid bronze and thats why he cracked up!
Deleteha ha, ichor also appears in the word petrichor, that earthy smell of rain hitting soil. The other two important Greek God stuffs were ambrosia and nectar, food and drink of the Gods. Hey, just realised I've never seen the film Food of the Gods! That's another one for my leaky bucket list!
DeleteHe takes a giant needle.
ReplyDeleteCorrectomundo Mish!
DeleteThis Harryhausen (and the Sinbad movies) film plays so often at my house the kids know it by the opening music and flee!
ReplyDeleteHa ha! Sounds like a great house Charles!
