1964 gave us these US unbreakable movie monsters. Such was Gorgo's monster chops at the time he got top spot on the header card! Move over Gojira! [is there a Palmer Godzilla?]
Gorgy is in green top left. Palmer plastics of Brooklyn NYC made these brilliant mini-monsters. They came in many colours and I imagine are very collectable in the US as these are all auction pics.
Can you name them all here readers?
California's Diener Industries carried on the good work in rubber too - I think later - but I think they left out the British Godzilla!
Can you name all these? and is there a Japanese Godzilla?
Have any monster rubbers?
I'll start the proceedings! "I married a Monster from Outer Space" "The Outer Limits Chameleon"
ReplyDeleteSurprisingly, a Selenite from "First Men in the Moon" and that bubble headed Paul Blaidsel alien from... Help me, Brains Trust!
Ymir-or the Ray H cyclops with the Horn..should be purple as people eater...metaluna mutant
ReplyDeleteYellow dome head (bottom right, third pic) a Saucer Man from 'Invasion of the Saucer Men'.
ReplyDeleteThat was it!
DeleteSorry, the Saucer Man is in the 5th pic.
ReplyDeleteThe very bottom right yellow figure in the third pic looks like 'It', the terror from beyond space, to me.
ReplyDeleteWell done guys! Keen eyed monster spotters are you! All I can add are Creature from the Black Lagoon [Palmer] and the green Morlock [Diener].
