We're used to seeing the LP aliens on Moonbase. Collectors of Apollo Moon Exploring may even have them in the house.
Here's a humorous alien I've not seen before, on the left: a Darth Vader!
These are small soft rubber vending versions of the normally hard plastic LP figures, which I saw on auction so saved the image.
What else can you see?
Twiki from Buck Rogers(blue one, upper left).
ReplyDeleteYep, see that Kev.
DeleteThe Buck Rogers Marauder and Starfighter and Cylon Base Star!
ReplyDeleteYo! I see them!
DeleteIs that a Police Badge from Gerry Anderson's "Space Precinct?"
ReplyDeleteI see what you mean Scott. I can see the number 007. here's a Space Precinct badge to compare https://www.ewbankauctions.co.uk/20180531M1-lot-1481-Space-Precinct-British-American-TV-Series-Production-made-police-badge-used-by-Lieutenant-Patrick-Brogan-in-the-series-This-badge-was-also-used-on-the-credits-as-a-background-made?arr=0&auction_id=430&box_filter=0&category=&department_id=&exclude_keyword=&export_issue=0&high_estimate=0&image_filter=0&keyword=&list_type=&lots_per_page=0&low_estimate=0&month=&page_no=1&paper_filter=0&search_type=&sort_by=&view=lot_detail&year=
ReplyDeleteWas Star Wars originally going to be called Space Wars?
ReplyDeletenope - it was originally going to be something like the Adventures of Luke Starkiller or similar, but Space Wars is a title seized upon by copyists that is similar enough to not infringe copyright, but gets them in the same ballpark as Star Wars. Especially witha public frenzied enough to buy anything at the outset, as there wasn't a lot of good merchandise available, as everyone shunned the film predicting it would be a flop! Bill
DeleteLuke Starkiller! Seems odd sounding but that's because were so sued to Skywalker! Interesting stuff Bill. Did Ralph McQuarrie ever use the Starkiller name in any of his art?
DeleteWho are the pink and brown fellas next to thr 25C price sticker?

Cheers Hugh. I knew you'd know.
DeleteI think the pink figures are Buck and Wilma from the Buck Roger's 80s TV series.
ReplyDeleteGood call Mish.
