Hi. Found these the other day. They’re small aircraft kits. They may be cereal free gifts..... but who’s and what vintage I’ve no idea. Can anybody identify them?
Looks like Kellogg's premiums from the Seventies. They might be marked R&L (Rosenhain & Lipmann) on that oblong part on the outer frame sprue or elsewhere.
According to a site I found, and a You Tube video, these are part of a 1985 Kellogg's Cornflakes Airliner Model Kit series. Eight different aircraft, each available in four different colours (yellow, red, blue, and green). They were also given away with Marvel comics at one point. The ones shown are: Concorde, two examples of the Vickers Viscount, and the S.23 Empire Flying Boat. Most of the aircraft are British. The full range was: 1932 Armstrong Whitworth Atlanta 1936 Short S.23 Empire Flying Boat 1946 Vickers Viking 1952 De Havilland Comet 1953 Vickers Viscount 1970 Boeing 747 1975 Lockheed Tristar 1976 Concorde
Dear Paul, I'm sorry to correct you but the red one isn't the Short S.23 but the A.W. Atlanta. You can easily identify it as a landplane because of its tailwheel. Best regards, Toddi
Thank you, Toddi. Sorry for the mistake. Looking again at the sprues, the Atlanta also has two circular main wheels, while the Empire Flying Boat has two wingtip floats.
There's some Mexican R&Ls as well including SpaceX style models of the Nova and Booster rocket. There's a Moonbase housing unit too. Actually they are all based on Ed Valigursky designs/ paintings from the Man in Space book.

This You Tube video looks at the models, the back of the box - an airport scene, and includes the original TV ad for the kits.
