Hello Woodsy
At the weekend I went through some old job samples. I failed to find what I was looking for but found this.
A press release photo from 1989 for the then upcoming Batman movie with Michael Keaton.
I had this print to include the image on a competition entry form for The New York Daily News, winning entries won two tickets to the movie.
It was not wanted by the person who supplied it so it ended up mixed in with some of my work samples unremembered to me.
So here it is for Moonbase Central readers to enjoy umpteen years later. I think it looks pretty good the way it's lit, nicely showing off the bat wing fins. Like it?

The Batmobile 66 will always be my favourite, but this takes the #2 slot! I really liked the design, but I felt the Corvette Stingray front wings sat a little oddly with the rest of the styling choices.
ReplyDeleteMy #3 Batmobile is the more "reality" based vehicle from the most recent film. I rather liked the idea of simply hot rodding a 70s muscle car and getting on with fighting crime, rather than worrying about automotive styling!
This is such a gorgeous press photo and the lighting on the rear fins is fabulous. The whole car looks like its made of leather or shaped oil! The best Batman movie ever and the best modern Batmobile in my opinion.
