There was plenty of old toys to be had at the old toy swap in Arcada in Finland.
Reader and long-time contributor Arto sent in this snap of the fair's eager collectors.
Looks like a lot of fun. I really must get to a toy fair again soon.
Have you been to one recently readers? Which is your local fair?
My local toy fair is Doncaster in England.
ReplyDeleteThis was the old toys section of the fair. Hall 2 was dedicated to dolls' houses & accessories.
ReplyDeleteThe late afternoon photo doesn't do full justice to the event because all morning was congested!
Looks great Arto. I used to love standing as well as being a punter.
ReplyDeleteThe last great toy fair is Sydney's Hurstville Toy and Collectables fair. I haven't been since Covid, but I got some great ReAction vintage style Alien figures the last time I visited!
ReplyDelete-Of course my favourite toy show used to be the Granville Swapmeet, held in the crumbling Art Deco Crest Cinema. The entry foyer still had the original Laminex serving benches with chrome milkshake tubs!
All long gone now...
Hmmm, I think Hurstville is on this weekend!
That Crest Cinema sounds fabulous. Crumbling art deco! Love it!
