Vader is cheering and the AT AT is cock a hoop!
Thanks to the amazing generosity of my friend Paul Vreede his Millennium Falcon wended it's way from Belgium to Moonbase Junior's house here in Yorkshire for his Sixth birthday yesterday.
Here it is at Moonbase beforehand cleaned up and ready for wrapping.
I mean, Wow!
I added a couple of missing ramp struts
And popped in some new batteries for warp speed.
My friend Wotan was also super generous with his donation to Junior of spare Star Wars action figures and beasts.
I mean, Wow again!
We added an AT AT and the spaceship on top and away we went.
We were ready to wrap!
On behalf of Junior, who has now unwrapped everything and done the Kessel run in 11 parsecs, me and Missus Moonbase would like to say a huge galactic thankyou to Paul and Wotan for their fabulous gifts.
Such generosity!
ReplyDeleteHave you spared a thought for what kind of person Junior is going to turn into when he grows up? With all your encouragement, it could be something quite odd!
When I was two years older than him, I was already well ensconced in the worlds of Gerry Anderson and my whole future life was set!
Just sayin'...
Odd is good Looey!
ReplyDeleteGood to see this Falcon gets to star in a new episode!
ReplyDeleteAs a proper thrifty Dutchman I couldn't resist the bargain when I spotted it for just a few euri at a street market. Found it again while sorting stuff in the garage and had put it aside for sale when the Force intervened: Woodsy blogged he wouldn't hope of finding one for Junior so the rest was a total no-brainer. Super job in sprucing it up!
Best -- Paul V
May the force be with you Paul! Thanks ever so much! Han is just polishing off his new plans for warp whizzing round Shipley, his new home!
