The final shots of the toy weekend.
Three plastic action figures found in the nearby street freebie table. Any idea who the spider robot thingy is?
A Hulk buster van from a charity shop and a Robocop plane found again on the freebie table on our street.
Both have great sound and light effects!
Additions to my 1970's Hot Wheels fleet, the white Spoiler Sport van and the yellow Bubble Gunner.
The car boot at York where I got my old Star Wars figures was brimming with die-casts too.
and a few emergency vehicles.
Well worth a visit if you're near York Racecourse on a Saturday!
Have you been to a car boot or flea market this summer readers?
Nice selection of wheels there, Woodsy. We've been to quite a few car boots this year. favourite finds have been an original orange vintage Swedish Ericofon (Cobra) for a gob-smacked quid, plus two vintage Britains Ltd, Tour de France figures for a couple of quid. Humble but very happy finds.
ReplyDeleteEricofon as in the upright telephone? Bargain Tone!
DeleteYes, you're spot on, Woodsy. Bit of a 20th century design classic and a truly fab find, especially as that particular car boot was full of the same old stuff. The cobra nested unassumingly on a tarp belonging to the very last seller, in the final row of the field. I only spotted it by chance because my better half was talking to the seller about something else. I was very bored when my brain kicked into gear and registered what I was looking at. I couldn't believe the asking price either. Difficult to continue to look uninterested at a rare moment like that, Woodsy. I cherish these surprise finds :)
DeleteThe spider thingey remains a mystery. Google Lens was keying off the bucolic background and kept giving me pictures of field mortars!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you could try yourself, with the toy isolated against a white card.
I'm taking a wild stab that the Rhino is a Transformers Beast Wars character, but my knowledge base isn't that wide!
Yes, the spider thingy suggests Men in Black from the head in the middle but I don't know. Yes, the Rhino is Spidey's old enemy and must be a Marvel attempt at transforming. I'll look up Beast Wars. Thanks Looey.
