Ron's comic strips were very stylised but always dynamic,as you say Woodsy. Check out his 50s sci fi pulp fiction paperback covers. Rarely realistic, but always dramatic, colourful and action packed.
I've got a couple of the pulp science fiction books with covers by Ron, and also all the Rick Random pocket books in which many of the comic strips inside were drawn by Ron.
