I found these clips on You Tube, showing various toys in action. Most are working tinplate road or railway layouts, with the vehicles running around them. They are look like great fun. All seem to be by the same company, Technofix.

I had (have in bits) a Technifix layout on a vacform plastic base, with tinplate attachments and plastic trucks. It had a spring drive which is fitted in the base like matchbox motorway. It moved a tipper truck around the base to a hopper, where it unloaded plastic balls. These could be manually loaded into a little dumper, which then rolled off to another hopper to empty into the first truck. It was great fun for years, but being vacform, the base has cracked over time.
ReplyDeleteSounds like a lot of fun Wote. Moving parts and vehicles. I don't think I had anything from the range as a kid. Funny how we collect things that were made for the monent and never for 50 years later!
DeleteThanks for this Paul. Lots of interesting stuff there about this what I assume is a West German company.
