Dust!
ReplyDeleteI'm near to completing my Lego Bionicle collection, still enjoying First Nations art, picking up vintage photography gear, vintage space books and the odd space toy. As the elements I need to complete my space toy collection are near impossible to find now, Ive branched out into more accessible areas.
ReplyDeleteA diverse and fascinating scouse stew of distractions!
DeleteStill trying to find affordable Sword/JR21/Century21 stuff. Managing to pick up a few Dinkys during the hunt... I've even been looking at my local auction house's toy auctions (bad move, everything I had made a note of from the catalog sold for oodles of money. Looks like 60's/70's/80's stuff is in big demand)
ReplyDeleteTo console myself I've bought a few 60's SciFi books (books seem to buck the trend and be in little demand atm)
Right of to watch Blake's 7 on Forces TV....
Enjoy, I remember seeing 'The Way Back' on its first showing, January 1978! Loved it then too!
DeleteCentury 21 Toys do seem to have got harder to find Timmy I agree. I'm missing the Ice Cream Van and the Vauxhall Cresta from the non-TV range of plastic vehicles.
DeleteMy long time friend and Gerry Anderson guru Kerrie Dougherty (who is now part of Australia's Space Agency) wants me to build her a Zero-X display model.
ReplyDeleteI don't want cash, I've told her to pay me in Bandai captain scarlet toys!
So I'll get an MSV to go with my SPC, Spectrum helicopter and Cloudbase wind ups!
Talk about a win-win situation!
Now that's a great trade Looey! Maybe you could keep us up to date with the progress of the OX if you do go ahead?
