Hi Woodsy. Weather-wise Summer is far from over here in New Jersey so I took advantage of the heatwave and headed to Ocean City last week.
Here's some pics of the boardwalk amusements all lit up.
When I returned home I decided to hit the pool for a Midnight swim!

The shape, design and colour some of the rides have, puts me in mind of the space age. Even the pool could be an Apollo splashdown scene waiting to happen. Eye of the beholder perhaps? Either way, I like these night and neon pics, Brian.
ReplyDeleteThe boardwalks around here have stood for about 100 years in some form or another,so you get a mixture of quaint,old-timey vibes and glitzy futuristic overtones.I would imagine their design was influenced by the seaside piers in England like Blackpool.
DeleteMe too Brian, thanks for sharing. These pics you send in each summer always remind me of the fun fair in the Lost Boys, tho' I've no idea where that was. Ocean City looks cool! What's Union City like?
ReplyDeleteThe Lost Boys was set in California.Their Amusement Piers are similar to ours on the East coast...Just pointing in the opposite direction ;).Union City is one of the satellite cities surrounding NYC and is a little too much concrete for this denizen of The Pines.
ReplyDeleteCheers Brian. I thought it looked warm in the Lost Boys. NJ has loads of its own Horror films too! I asked about Union City because I used to like Union City Blues by Blondie.
