Hi Woodsy
Some more pictures. When Buzz Aldrin autographed this Dragon model of himself for me, he was aware of its existence because he had agreed the licensing, but he’d never seen the actual model before. He wasn’t very impressed with the likeness but he thought the spacesuit and accessories were excellent quality and detail.
The second picture is Charlie Dukes autograph on a lunar rover model.
The third picture is Scott Carpenters autograph on the action man spaceship, which was modelled on the mercury seven capsule. Although he was aware of the GI Joe version, he had never seen the action man version before.
All the best. Will
Autographs, wow! The only astronaut I ever met was John Young and I didn't think to bring anything for him to sign!
ReplyDeleteThe only one of the above items I have is the Buzz Aldrin figure which I think is generally excellent. Unlike Mr. Aldrin, the features on the face don't bother me as much as the proportions of the backpack, which has an inexplicably bulky upper section which is completely unlike the real unit. Apart from that, the details and finish are beautiful!
They are a strangely alluring thing aren't they Looey, autographs. I wonder if anyone will ever want ours. I do sign cheques still, for the local curry house. Mine is a working signature!
