Hi Woodsy,
This is the production version of Elf Toys Tracy Island.
As you can see I’ve taken some pictures as it is, and some with the Rosenthal Thunderbirds toys in situ as they would have been displayed in the shop window.
The plywood base underneath is original as are the small diving board, Thunderbird 2’s launch ramp and the palm trees.

Would Mr Osborne Senior have displayed this I wonder? I doubt any but the very well heeled kids would have had these.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if this is the first time that this rare set has been displayed in its entirety? An epic blog moment in any event.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing. I only ever had the JR21 TB3. I cant imagine what it would be like to find Santa had left this. Utterly amazing, yet simple in construction - wood and plastic (well at least to anyone working with wood; I have enough problems putting Airfix models together!)
ReplyDeleteAnd every kid that played with this put it on their parents G-Plan extending dining table so Thunderbird 1 could actually launch from the swimming pool! - MJ
ReplyDeleteI’m sure I have this passed down from the father in law condition is ok ..good to finally learn something about it
ReplyDeleteAmazing! Send in a picture so we can all share your enjoyment of the Elf Tracy Island. Email address at the base of this page.
