The Missus and me have just got back from a long weekend in the fab Derbyshire dales. All still Tier 2 thankfully.
We were based in the city of Derby and travelled out to various rustic dales and spas. We also visited quite a few charity shops and one very rural car boot sale, where I picked up a whole bunch of cute plastic fantasy and animal figures pictured above, along with a neat paperback of Phase IV, which you may have seen as a film - about very smart ants!
If you want to have a go at ID'ing the figures then please have a bash.
I'll have a go at them later on tonight too.
The Phase IV paperback is unusual, a great if abstract film. As to the figures, youve got a Britains Polar Bear, but aside from that im drawing a blank!
ReplyDeleteIt is a neat book. Found it in Oxfam. 99p. Never seen this tie-in before. Loved the film! I love the seated Polar Bear. Ta. Its next to a Britians Hippo and a Britains Camel. Working on the rest of them at the mo. great fun!
DeleteThe Fella in the blue jacket looks like a McDonald's action man happy meal toy- MJ Southcoast base
DeleteThanks MJ. I think you're right. Ta!
DeleteHi! The guy in green on the back row is Peter Pan from the Mattel toyline after the movie Hook (1990), and the two dragons (one light blue, the other light green) could be "Mix 'em Up Monsters" made for McDonalds in 1988. A picture from the side would help to confirm the last statement. Best Regards, Juan
ReplyDeleteThanx for the tips Juan. Confirmed them both thanks to you!
