Sometimes I see toys that I think, Hmmm, not sure about that.
This is one, a vintage toy cowboy branding iron!
There's even a chart of famous brands.
Looks like its actually a toy ink stamp but still!
Am I being overly-2020? After all I do eat bacon and beef!
What a strange toy - what period would it be from ? There is no barcode, so I would assume it is an older toy. Made in Hong Kong for a US company.
ReplyDeleteNever mind the barcode. Where on your friend did you 'brand' them?
ReplyDeleteOne thing I can tell you for sure, that price tag is a K Mart tag.K Mart started using scan codes in the late 80s ,so I would guess it's from the 70s.I can't really gauge the toys size, but I would guess that the toy might be in scale with an 8 or 9 inch action figure.
ReplyDeleteI had a printing set called the John Bull Printing Set. Not sure who the maker was. Spears? It had a similar slotted bar where the letters where inserted. I still have a set somewhere, a modern version. I suppose the branding gimmick was just another way to sell kids printing sets!
