Each of the four models depict the characters from one of the PG Tips tea commercials featuring chimpanzees, dressed as humans. These are:
SL59000 1950 Bedford 30 cwt Truck - Geoff Tipps - blue and white - 94 mm
SL63000 1950 Bedford 30 cwt Delivery Van - Shirley Tipps - red and white - 88 mm
SL71000 1959 Morris LD150 Van - Kevin Tipps - green - 84 mm
SL73000 1955 VW Transporter Van - Samantha Tipps - yellow - 87 mm
All the models in the Lledo range were of older vehicle types, most being pre-WW2. In the 1990s the name Days Gone Vanguards was used for a number of more modern, post-WW2 designs from the 1950s and 1960s, including these examples. The DGV models were numbered in the same range as the regular DG models, and all had a DG prefix to their model numbers.
However the Vanguard name was soon reserved for a more expensive range of models aimed at diecast collectors, and the more basic Days Gone Vanguards became simply Days Gone models. There were also various ranges of models in special finishes, with either LP - Lledo Promotional or SL - Special Licence prefixes.
The last three digits of the number related to the individual livery.
