I think I may be the only C21 fan on the planet who actually likes this vehicle (!), but nothing like it ever made it to the U.S. Possibly a couple of high-end toy stores in New York City carried the Dinky Toys diecast model - F.A.O. Schwartz and Rappaport's Toy Bazaar carried rare import stuff that nobody "in the sticks" would bother with - but I never stumbled upon it. As for the actual vehicle, that would be cool if it still existed somewhere. I am sure somebody with a sense of humor (or a respect for cultural history) would love to own it. If I lived in the UK and were rich, I'd put a bid on for it for sure. I always wondered if Austin Power's Mini Cooper was partly inspired by "Mini"?
Modern Stripeys do exist Zigg! Here's one https://1.bp.blogspot.com/-eCBKEc_ycqY/XCvVykrRUMI/AAAAAAAAFs8/jo4KZpO-wWYwzOe826MPbzhG7G-mzFWpwCLcBGAs/s1600/candy%2B1%2Bcar%2Bmodern.jpg
I'll be posting what happened to the real Stripey later today Zigg.
